Karen Hemmesphere

Karen Hemmes, aka DJ Hemmesphere, born in 1990 and raised in Canada (Edmonton, Alberta) discovered her love for music at a young age. She picked up guitar at age 10 and was always involved in school choirs and musical performances.  Attending various music festivals and experiencing the energy the DJs and producers emitted, her passion for music led her to want to start learning how to DJ. In Summer of 2006 she moved from Canada to Arizona (USA) with this burning desire.

Two years later at the age of 18, Hemmesphere began learning the art at a local bar in small town Show Low, AZ. Her passion and ear for music allowed her to pick up on her craft very quickly and she soon became the venue's spotlight resident DJ for two years. Becoming the biggest DJ in her town was an accomplishment, but not enough for her, as she always strives for greater success. DJ Hemmesphere decided it was time to take her talent to a larger market.

In 2011 she relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona where she began to make a name for herself in various bars, nightclubs, lounges, and restaurants throughout Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale. The move to the bigger city paid off for her, as she earned the opportunity to play with world-renown artists such as Bingo Players, Felix Cartal, Kristina Sky, Luminox, Justin Jay, Clockwork, Chuckie, MAKJ, Flux Pavillion, DJ Scotty Boy, Will Sparks, Timmy Trumpet, Tiger Lily, Destructo, and DJ Spryte. She also performed at Wet Electric in 2012 and 2013, the Waterpark Pool Party music festival. Hemmesphere rapidly became one of the leading ladies in the Arizona DJ and nightlife scene. In 2016, she was named one of the top 10 female DJs in Arizona. She also branched out to DJ at weddings, corporate events, hotels, and holiday parties as her style is very versatile.  No matter what the event or venue, Hemmesphere can rise to the occasion and perform any desired vibe and genre, such as hip hop, EDM, rock, lounge, open format, and pop.
